Original Gullwing Steering Wheel #1

This fiberglass steering wheel was most likely used in the series before being installed in the Universal Studios theme park K.I.T.T. attraction in the mid-80's, where it stayed until the early 2000's. The wheel is hollow fiberglass with some metal reinforcement. Surface imperfections match pictures from the theme park car perfectly (see pictures). An access panel underneath the wheel allows entry to the inside, where a microphone was found. This microphone allowed visitors to the park to have a conversation with K.I.T.T. This wheel was acquired by the Knight Rider Historians in 2009 and is currently installed in one of our screen used K.I.T.T. cars.
